There is nothing wrong with asking a website or webmaster for a reciprocal link especially if that site has related content to yours, the best links to your site are one way showing that the site linking to you likes your content enough and rates your site enough to send it’s visitors to you!

There are several bad sites as well, try to avoid mass linking campaigns or what is called link farms, you have built a decent site now ensure decent websites put a text or graphical link to you!
